Spring water restores only small amounts of health to the group. Nevertheless, in the interests of accommodating all play styles which may include the use of 'tanks' to deliberately absorb damage, information regarding curatives is provided. This guide provides techniques whereby a relatively low level Arisen can effectively combat high level enemies without incurring substantial damage. Your pawns will use the flasks liberally so you will spend a lot less time on health maintenance.Ĭaution: The extensive use of spring water or any curative affects pawn inclinations in unintended ways. A Spring Water flask will moderately heal the entire party. The value with Spring Water is that the pawns will use it. Keep about 10 for Arisen and 20 for each of the pawns. Return to an inn and put most of them in stock. When he or she becomes over-encumbered, give a bunch of Spring Water to your pawns. Go out the exit in the Pawn guild area and head northeast to the closest healing spring. If you’re playing Magick Archer or another vocation that relies on magic, pick up some throat remedies so you can cure silence.

Buy a hundred or more empty flasks at the apothecary in Gran Soren. If you find yourself in need of curatives, it is worthwhile to be overstocked on Spring Water. If you’re going to get one or another, pick Galvanic Razors because you’ll soon get the fire elemental Sapfire Daggers, the most powerful elemental weapon in the game. They are available from the shopkeeper to whom you gave the real gold idol to-Madeleine or Caxton. The former is a fire elemental weapon and the latter is lightning. The best daggers that should be available to you are the Scalding Razors and the Galvanic Razors.

Armed with the daggers, the Magick Archer can double jump. Armed with the staff, the Magick Archer can levitate. The Magick Archers daggers and staff are still useful. So, close in fighting is out of the question until your characters are at a much more advanced stage. Many of the enemies use rampaging stomping attacks that will instantly kill characters with low HP and defense. Others are Richochet Hunter (lightning-level 6), and Magical Gleam (holy-level 5). For example, Sixfold Bolt is an ice attack that can be learned at vocation level 4. The Magick bow always uses an elemental attack although the element will vary depending on the attack. The Archer can hide and use the advanced level 6 Ricochet Hunter homing capabilities with lethal effect. A vocation level 6 or better Magick Archer is very effective against the powerful BBI enemies. The techniques, however, can get very sophisticated so, for those who want a simpler interface, Magick Archer is a very handy vocation. The Mystic Knight has very powerful traps that allow the vocation to triumph over superior enemies without exposure to undue risk. Note: When I first entered BBI, I employed the Mystic Knight vocation. If your XBox live friends have played the game, their pawns will be available to you at no cost. One way to compensate for your low level is to recruit high level support pawns. You will not be at that level long because the rewards are lucrative and you will advance quickly. Nevertheless, if you have good ranged skills, you should be able to begin your explorations before level 30. If you are at a low level, your pawn will caution you that the enemies are tough and it is advisable that you are at least level 70 before taking on BBI. For example, you will see notifications at the load and save screens. At some point, after you have done a fair number of Cassardis quests (through Deeper Trouble and Dying of Curiosity), the game will start suggesting you go to BBI. You get there by talking to a lady who stands at the end of the Cassardis pier at night.
